CAD Draughtsman Location: Kidderminster Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time An established and growing manufacturing business is looking for an experienced CAD Draughtsman to join their technical team based in Kidderminster. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded draughtsperson who enjoys turning complex design concepts into accurate manufacturing drawings, supporting a business known for quality, precision, and innovation in bespoke metal fabrication. The Role Working within a collaborative design and production team, you will: Produce detailed 2D and 3D drawings for fabrication using AutoCAD (and/or SolidWorks). Interpret architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and client requirements. Liaise with engineers, project managers, and fabricators to ensure design intent is achieved. Support design modifications, technical queries, and project documentation. Contribute to continuous improvement and ensure compliance with standards. The Candidate We\’re looking for someone who: Has experience within fabrication, metalwork, or architectural steelwork environments. Is proficient in AutoCAD (experience with SolidWorks or other CAD packages beneficial). Possesses strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately to deadlines. Can interpret and develop fabrication drawings with minimal supervision. Has a good understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and tolerances.
