We are seeking a Vibration Test Engineer to support a major space programme within a leading defence and space organisation. This is a hands-on, lab-based role ideal for someone with experience translating test procedures into practical machining and setup operations in a commercial test lab setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute vibration testing procedures on space hardware and subsystems.
  • Translate technical test specifications into practical test setups and machining activities.
  • Work flexibly to support a late shift (2pm–10pm) and be available for weekend testing when required.
  • Operate and maintain test equipment and data acquisition systems.

Qualifications

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in a commercial test laboratory environment.
  • Strong understanding of vibration testing methodologies and relevant mechanical processes.
  • Practical background in setting up mechanical test rigs and interpreting test documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to non-standard working hours.

Security Requirements:

Candidates must be eligible to obtain BPSS-level clearance.
