Fawkes & Reece is working exclusively with a long-standing and respected provider of Building Management Systems (BMS) to support the continued expansion of their service and projects division across London and the South. Due to sustained demand for BMS upgrade works and system extensions, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Service Projects Engineer to help deliver a range of small-to-medium-scale projects across an existing client portfolio in commercial environments.
The Role: This position is ideal for an experienced BMS Engineer looking to take ownership of end-to-end delivery on service-led projects. Working closely with Project Managers, clients, and subcontractors, you'll be responsible for pre-commissioning, commissioning, documentation, and handover of systems across multiple sites - mainly in central London, with some travel across the southern region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out detailed site surveys to assess scope and technical requirements.
- Lead BMS commissioning activities including point-to-point checks and panel modifications.
- Configure and modify software and graphics across leading BMS platforms.
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Deliver client demonstrations, training sessions, and final handovers.
- Update project documentation including drawings, schematics, and control descriptions.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 3+ years of hands-on BMS experience in a commissioning, service, or project delivery capacity.
- Proficient in open protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and M-Bus.
- Comfortable working with systems from any leading BMS manufacturer (Trend, Tridium, Siemens, Distech, etc.).
- Strong understanding of HVAC plant and its control logic.
- Electrically competent with the ability to read and amend panel schematics.
- Self-motivated, organised, and capable of managing multiple tasks.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
