We're now looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Electrical Technician to join our team and play a key role in maintaining and improving our office estate.

About the Role

As the Senior Electrical Technician, you will act as the technical lead for all electrical systems and provide expert support across a range of building and maintenance services. This is a hands-on and leadership-focused role where you'll not only carry out electrical work but also support and guide a team of technicians, ensuring quality, compliance, and safety at every stage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for technical support and escalations within the technician team.
  • Oversee and contribute to internal and external maintenance across office buildings.
  • Diagnose, repair, and install electrical systems in line with regulations and best practices.
  • Coordinate day-to-day workloads and ensure efficient deployment of technician resources.
  • Deliver toolbox talks and technical training to support staff development.
  • Supervise and ensure third-party contractors follow safe working practices and agreed RAMS.
  • Conduct audits, stock checks, and quality assurance of completed works.
  • Take the lead on a variety of reactive tasks including electrical, basic joinery, plumbing, and internal painting.
  • Provide cover during staff absences or periods of high demand.

What We're Looking For

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent) and a recognised apprenticeship or training program.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (C&G 2382).
  • Inspection & Testing qualification (C&G 2391 or 2394/2395).
  • Proven experience in electrical installation, testing, and maintenance.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented approach with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work across multiple sites and lead by example.
