Overview: Our client is a high-growth financial consultancy delivering enterprise-grade planning, modelling, and digital transformation solutions to Tier 1 banking and financial institutions. With a track record of implementing advanced enterprise planning platforms, they have built a reputation for solving complex data and operational challenges across global financial services. Following their recent accreditation as an AWS Partner, they are now expanding their cloud and data platform capabilities — and are seeking a Senior Director, AWS Cloud & Data Solutions to lead this new practice. This is a critical leadership role for someone who blends deep technical expertise across the AWS ecosystem with strong go-to-market and commercial strategy experience. The ideal candidate will have scaled AWS offerings within an established AWS Partner environment, ideally into financial services clients, and is now looking to shape and lead a new cloud services offering from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and lead the AWS services offering from zero to scale, with a focus on data and platform solutions for financial services clients.
- Define and execute the go-to-market strategy for AWS across Tier 1 banks and FS firms.
- Lead the development of packaged AWS solutions tailored to the unique challenges of the financial sector — from data infrastructure to governance, security, and analytics.
- Represent the AWS practice in pre-sales, strategic client engagements, and partnership conversations.
- Collaborate with commercial and delivery teams to align on client needs, technical offerings, and sales enablement.
- Act as the senior technical and commercial lead in AWS engagements, workshops, and bid processes.
- Foster strong relationships with AWS, leveraging their partner programs and strategic initiatives.
- Hire and lead a cross-functional AWS team as the practice scales.
Key Experience:
- 8+ years in AWS consulting, cloud solutions architecture, or product/solution leadership roles.
- Proven experience within an AWS Premier/Advanced Partner or similar, ideally leading AWS go-to-market efforts or new cloud offerings.
- Broad expertise across the AWS stack, with a focus on enterprise data architecture, platform engineering, and cloud-native design.
- Strong understanding of regulatory and security requirements in financial services cloud deployments.
- A commercial mindset, able to craft compelling client propositions and lead technical sales engagements.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage C-level stakeholders in technical and business conversations.

- AWS Certifications (Professional/Specialty level ideal)
