Now in our 25th year, our team is brimming with new ideas and our services have grown to include Formula One Hospitality, celebrity chef cook along with A Cook’s Tour and luxury canapé delivery brand Pocket Rocket.

If you are on a four-year degree course where you are expected to spend a year in industry, then our 12-month Industrial Placement Scheme could be just the experience you are looking for. From the moment you join, you can expect challenge, responsibility and variety, because we expect you to make a full contribution to the business.

You’ll be part of our community at Rocket and be integral to the team – training and working alongside industry leading talent. You’ll help us push boundaries by doing great work for our clients, you’ll be encouraged to be yourself and connect with colleagues across the business, and you’ll learn skills that will set you up for an exciting career.

You’ll be paid a competitive salary throughout your placement and if you impress us, you could be offered a place on completion of your studies. But it’s not all about what we think of you, this is just as much about you getting to know us – during your placement you’ll get a real feel for who we are and if we’re the right fit for you.

During your time with us, you can expect to:

  • Develop core workplace skills to complement your academic knowledge (e.g. project management, prioritising workload, managing key stakeholders, professional communication and solution-focused thinking)
  • Gain practical experience of working with the luxury events industry and a valuable insight into the different functions and roles within it
  • Progress your career development journey.

By using the feedback and experience gained on placement, you will gain a deeper appreciation of your personal strengths and development needs and be given the support to shape your action plan.

Our aim is to provide you with a valuable breadth of experience, working with different departments, products and customers. You will also have the chance to deliver project work and get involved with the company’s corporate social responsibility and sustainability initiatives.

Event Planning: Our industry leading team of event managers plan and execute world class events in the country’s most prestigious venues. Using creativity to exceed client expectations, our events team drive business and venue relationships across our portfolio.

Event Operations: From our planning teams through to operational event management, or in specialist support teams for our exclusive partner contracts, everyone works together with energy and drive to ensure we deliver superlative quality to our clients.

Who we are looking for

We generally take on students who are studying Events Management or a similar degree. However, this isn’t definitive, so if you’re on a different degree course, we may still be interested.

We look for ambitious, confident people who have strong communication and people skills. You also need to be adaptable, self-motivated and willing to take on responsibility. Having a customer focus and appreciation for quality are two further attributes we expect our Industrial Placement students to possess.
