Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities

  • Supporting Senior Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Managers in managing multiple projects on time and within budget.
  • Preparing accurate and timely estimates for all remits.
  • Engaging with clients to resolve pricing issues as they arise.
  • Collaborating with Site Managers to gather necessary information on ongoing remits.
  • Managing subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Overseeing change management processes and issuing early warnings when necessary.
  • Administering contracts in line with NEC or Network Rail\\\’s specific contractual forms.
  • Conducting cost value reconciliations (CVRs).
  • Finalising accounts for completed works.

Requirements

  • Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management (e.g., HNC/HND/Degree).
  • Strong contractual experience with NEC or bespoke Network Rail forms of contract.
  • Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor in a civil engineering contracting environment.
  • Experience in the rail sector is beneficial, but not essential.
