Role overview

The Research Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting our corporate finance and debt advisory service lines by producing and delivering high-quality research and analysis. This role involves supporting transaction teams with various research tasks, from quick requests to detailed, value-added projects, and contributing to the success of FRP by providing strategic insights and data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Producing and delivering high quality research and analysis across the corporate finance and debt advisory service lines
  • Supporting the transaction teams with research varying from quick requests to detailed, value-added projects
  • Producing well-researched acquisition target or buyer lists/reports
  • Undertaking valuation exercises, specifically comparable transactions and listed company analysis
  • Assisting in the production of prospective client pitch documents
  • Utilising and contributing to the in-house CRM and project management tool to provide supporting information

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with strong preference to Business & Finance or Information Management related courses
  • Relevant work experience, which could include in Corporate Finance, Private Equity or Law
  • Experience of researching companies, markets and sectors
  • Good working knowledge of research tools and databases such as S&P Capital IQ, Mergermarket, Valu8 is desirable
  • Experience of working on multiple research projects simultaneously with a range of timescales, often across varying sectors
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a wider client project team
  • Strategic thinker who goes beyond what information is available through subscribed sources to find the information they need
  • Excellent English (written and spoken). Fluency in another major European language is desirable but not essential
  • Confidence in presenting your work both verbally and in written form
  • Microsoft Office (in particular PowerPoint and Excel)
