Steps Ahead Care & Support, established in 2009, is rated OUTSTANDING by CQC and specializes in acquired brain injury, spinal injuries, learning disabilities, and challenging behaviour. We offer bespoke packages to clients in their own homes, and our support team promotes our ethos by encouraging clients' independence and providing community-based and/or rehabilitation support.
We are looking to recruit passionate & enthusiastic support workers to join Team Steps and become part of what we believe to be something incredibly rewarding and person-centred. This role is based in Exeter and surrounding areas, with a variety of hours available on a full-time and part-time basis. Full client-specific training will be provided to all support workers.
The client is a gentleman with an acquired brain injury resulting from an accident. He lives in his own home and enjoys getting out in the community with his support workers and trying new activities. He has recently travelled to New York and Cape Verde with his support staff. Familiarity with the area or the ability to research suitable activities would be beneficial.

We have a range of hours available, from full-time to part-time, with various shift patterns. Shift times: 0900-1700.
Responsibilities will include:
- Arranging and supporting attendance at appointments
- General upkeep of the property
- Accessing the community
- Assisting with the client's rehabilitation programme
Requirements for the position:
- Experience with acquired brain injury is preferred
- Enthusiastic, reliable, and self-motivated individuals
- Six months' health and social care experience is preferable; however, transferable skills and personal experience will be considered
