ROLE: Accounts Assistant Reporting to: Finance Manager Location: Reading / Hybrid ABOUT US Cpl Resources, one of Europe\’s most successful staffing businesses, operates in the UK, Ireland, Germany, and Switzerland. ABOUT THE ROLE Due to business expansion, the Finance team in Reading is seeking an individual eager to grow and develop within the company. This role offers the opportunity to gain comprehensive experience within a finance team, with clear pathways for progression to chartered status and beyond. Main responsibilities: Assist the Finance team with month-end close processes, including balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and repayments. Process credit card statements and manage monthly expenses. Resolve customer account queries, referring to the Sales or Order Entry teams as necessary. Liaise with Group for ad hoc financial queries. Perform bank reconciliations for Sterling, Euro, and other currency accounts weekly. Provide general support to the Finance team. Qualifications and Experience: Relevant qualifications in finance or accounting. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong organizational and planning abilities. Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook. Highly numerate with good data entry skills. Approximately one year\’s experience in a similar environment preferred.
