Key Responsibilities: Teach engaging Computer Science lessons to students from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 4, making the subject both accessible and challenging. Plan and deliver lessons that help students build strong foundations in computer science concepts, coding, and problem-solving. Create a classroom environment where students are encouraged to think critically, explore new ideas, and build their confidence in the subject. Set and mark homework, providing helpful feedback that allows students to improve and learn from their mistakes. Effectively manage classroom behaviour, ensuring a positive and respectful learning environment. Contribute to the development of teaching materials, resources, and schemes of work for the Computer Science department. Help prepare students for their GCSE exams by providing targeted revision and support where needed. Work closely with your colleagues to share teaching strategies, resources, and best practices. Keep track of student progress, providing feedback to parents and senior leadership. Attend staff and department meetings and take part in school events to support the wider school community. Qualifications & Experience: A passion for Computer Science and teaching. Strong knowledge of computer science concepts, programming languages, and modern tech. Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to keep students engaged and motivated. Great communication skills, and the ability to work well with students, parents, and colleagues. Experience with classroom technology (e.g., interactive whiteboards, educational software) is a plus. A commitment to professional development and a desire to improve your teaching methods.
