14607 Contract £22 – £25 Per Hour Site Based Berkshire, United Kingdom Updated on: 23-05-2025 ROLE OVERVIEW A leading company in the Precision Medicine industry, based in the Berkshire area, is currently seeking a talented Research Scientist / Senior Research Scientist to join their Biomarker Assay Sciences group (BMAS) on a fixed-term maternity cover. As the Research Scientist / Senior Research Scientist, you will play a crucial role in the development and application of LC-MS targeted proteomics assays. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Your duties as the Research Scientist / Senior Research Scientist will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows: 1. Develop LC-MS targeted proteomics assays in the laboratory and deliver high-quality fit-for-purpose assays for pre-clinical and clinical studies. 2. Troubleshoot assays by independently resolving technical issues. 3. Liaise efficiently with internal and external stakeholders to plan, design, and execute experiments. 4. Utilise scientific judgement to independently interpret analytical data and communicate results in a timely manner. ROLE REQUIREMENTS: To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Research Scientist / Senior Research Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history: 1. Relevant degree in a related field. 2. Proven industry experience in LC-MS techniques, ideally in the drug discovery setting. 3. A working knowledge and practical experience with analytical software packages (XCalibur, Analyst, MassLynx, Skyline) and automation platforms (e.g., Hamilton, Agilent Bravo).
