Are you ready to take the lead in growing your own portfolio of commercial clients — with the support, tools, and independence to make it your own? We’re looking for a driven, ambitious New Business Account Executive to join a respected independent broker that’s part of a wider national network. This is a home-based role with flexibility to develop business in your own region, giving you the autonomy to become the go-to insurance partner in your local business community.
What’s the role about?
This is a pure new business position — not a cold desk, but one backed by extensive lapsed client data, prospect lists, and marketing support. You’ll focus on building strong relationships and converting cross-class commercial clients across the SME and mid-market space. We’re after someone who can spot an opportunity, build trust, and deliver the kind of service that keeps clients coming back year after year.
Who we’re looking for:
- Someone with cross-class commercial insurance experience — whether you’re an experienced Account Executive or an Account Handler/Sales Development Exec ready for that next step
- A self-starter who wants to build their own book, not just manage someone else’s
- A confident communicator who thrives on winning new clients and delivering long-term value
- Comfortable with remote working and capable of managing your own time and pipeline
- Ideally familiar with Acturis, or confident learning new systems quickly
- A local networker who enjoys being active in their business community
Why this role?
- Complete flexibility – work from home and build your client base in your own patch
- Join an independent broker with big network backing – the best of both worlds
- Focus on doing what you do best – winning and growing commercial clients
- Salary from £35,000 to £55,000 depending on experience plus significant bonus.
- Bonus scheme, attractive benefits, and tools to help you succeed
If you’re ambitious, proactive, and ready to step into a role where your success is your own to drive, this definitely an opportunity worth considering.
