Hales Group is recruiting for a Tool Room Supervisor on behalf of a leading independent manufacturer based in Halesworth, Suffolk. As a Tool Room Supervisor, you will assist in organising and supervising the manufacture and repair of high-quality tooling and parts within the tool room environment.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the manufacture of required tooling.
- Liaise with other departments to offer support and solutions.
- Ensure a stable and reliable environment for toolmakers and apprentices.
- Provide necessary reports for continual improvement.
- Assist in developing new machining techniques, including training courses, supplier visits, and attending exhibitions.
- Keep the team updated on current practices and techniques.
- Provide training for new toolmakers, machinists, and apprentices.
About You:
- Experienced in toolmaking or CNC machining with recognised engineering qualifications.
- Ability to supervise and support team members, exhibiting strong toolmaking skills, patience, and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Capable of managing your own time, planning your workload, meeting set targets, and prioritising effectively.
- Proactive in fault diagnosis and problem-solving, using initiative.
- Conscientious with a sharp eye for detail and pride in delivering excellence consistently.
