What success looks like in this role: We are seeking a highly skilled Software Application Engineer to join our team. This role requires application development and support involving supporting C#, .NET Framework . Travel to the clientβs site in Manchester is required at least two days per week. Responsibilities: Develop and support complex applications/projects Design requirements that comply with project standards Configure, program, and test applications/technical architecture components Fix defects and performance-related problems Ensure compliance with project standards through design, coding, and testing reviews Collaborate with business analysts and testing teams to understand requirements and issues Participate in code reviews and collaborate with developers, designers, and architects Maintain integrity of dev, test, and production environments Lead process improvement and technical automation efforts Provide regular status updates to project lead/manager Assist less experienced team members with training/tasks You will be successful in this role if you have: Experience in software application engineering, especially in banking or Fintech Must have deep understanding of C#, .NET Framework Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GIT, Bruno, Nexus, and other modern tools) Strong skills in configuring, programming, and testing applications Proficiency in fixing defects and performance-related problems Ability to work closely with business analysts and testing teams Strong problem-solving skills and ability to explore alternative solutions Experience in code reviews and collaboration with developers, designers, and architects Leadership in process improvement and technical automation Excellent communication and client-facing skills Knowledge of ClearPath (COBOL on ClearPath 2200) and ePortal is an added advantage Strong critical thinking, structured fault analysis, and problem-solving abilities If you are passionate about software application engineering and have the required skills and experience, we would love to hear from you! #J-18808-Ljbffr
