We deliver high-quality, client-focused energy and sustainability advice across a wide range of sectors. From concept to post-occupancy, we support low-carbon design, compliance, and performance at every stage of a building’s life cycle. As a young and agile company, we’re growing rapidly—this is your chance to get in at the ground floor and grow with us.
Though our current office is in central London, we have resource requirements around the country and are more than happy to consider applicants from the south-west or midlands areas too. We have a very flexible approach to working from home or remotely.
We are looking for a Graduate Energy Assessor to join our forward-thinking team. This role will give you hands-on experience in assessing and advising on building energy performance across residential, commercial, and public sector projects. You’ll work closely with senior assessors and engineers on real-world projects from day one. You’ll also receive extensive training and mentoring, with the potential to progress quickly into a more senior role and gain formal accreditation in SAP, SBEM, EPCs, and other key assessment tools.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting the delivery of energy assessments (SAP, SBEM, EPCs) for new builds, conversions, and refurbishments
- Analysing architectural and M&E plans to produce energy models
- Assisting with Part L compliance checks and building regulation submissions
- Supporting sustainability strategies and low-carbon design advice
- Conducting site surveys, data collection, and validation of on-site conditions
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and design teams to deliver clear, accurate advice
What We’re Looking For
We welcome applicants from across the UK, particularly those based in London, the South West, the Midlands, or Belfast.
Essential:
- BSc or MSc in a relevant field: Energy Engineering, Environmental Science, Building Services Engineering, or similar
- Strong communication and report-writing skills
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Interest in sustainable buildings, energy modelling, and compliance
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in project teams
Nice to Have (or Willing to Learn):
- Experience with energy assessment software (Design SAP, Elmhurst, IES, SBEM, or similar)
- Understanding of UK Building Regulations (especially Part L)
- Awareness of sustainable design technologies and certification schemes (BREEAM, Passivhaus, etc.)
- Basic familiarity with AutoCAD or 3D BIM tools
What We Offer
- Flexible working (location and hours)
- 25 days leave p.a. (plus bank holidays, of course)
- Generous pension contributions
- Personal critical illness insurances
- Gym in the office (at no cost)
- Performance related bonuses
- Market leading salary (better than just competitive!)
