As our Rooftop Head Chef in Glasgow, you\’ll lead our kitchen team to create exceptional dining experiences. As the top kitchen leader, you\’ll oversee menu creation, food preparation, and staff management while ensuring smooth service. Working closely with the Rooftop General Manager, you\’ll drive quality, creativity, and operational excellence while meeting business goals. What You’ll Do Team Leadership : Lead your kitchen staff by recruiting and onboarding talented individuals, providing training, and creating a collaborative, diverse, and inclusive environment. You offer regular coaching to maintain excellence. Menu Development : Create seasonal menus featuring local ingredients that reflect our brand identity, sustainability commitments, and meet guest expectations. Kitchen Operations : Oversee food preparation and service, maintaining consistent quality and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Financial Management : Control food and labour costs, manage inventory effectively, minimize waste, and build strong supplier relationships to optimize financial performance, while still upholding menu quality and integrity. Guest Experience : Deliver consistently excellent dishes and incorporate customer feedback to refine and improve our offerings. Collaboration : Work with the Group Executive Chef and other departments to support the broader food and beverage strategy, special events, and culinary innovation. Who You Are: Minimum 3 years as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-paced, high-quality kitchen (rooftop, destination restaurant, or similar venue preferred). Proven ability to build, train, and manage a high-performing team. Strong background in kitchen systems, inventory control, and workflow management. Experience implementing new processes to enhance efficiency and guest satisfaction. Passion for using fresh, seasonal ingredients and developing innovative, brand-aligned menus. Ability to manage budgets, control costs, and optimize financial performance without compromising quality. Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus).
