Job Advertisement Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and development of components and systems for surgical instruments and robotic applications. You will play a crucial role in the preparation of calculations and drawings, as well as setting up robust manufacturing processes with our manufacturing partners. Responsibilities Design and develop components and systems for surgical instruments and robotic applications Prepare calculations and drawings, and set up robust manufacturing processes Conduct feasibility studies and produce functional prototypes Carry out verification tests and transfer production to series production Procure and manage components and services within development Implement changes within the regulated medical environment Qualifications Apprenticeship as basic technical training (e.g. technical draftsman or similar) Bachelor\’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar mechanical degree programs (no medical degree programs) 3-5 years of experience in dealing with CAD/PDM tools (preferably Solidworks) 3-5 years of experience in creating drawings according to ISO GP 3-5 years of experience in carrying out analytical calculations Successfully completed development projects (concepts, drawings, production, assembly, functional tests) (3-5 years of experience) Ability to apply various manufacturing processes (e.g. sheet metal working, machining, casting, surface treatment, …) (3-5 years of experience) Benefits Competitive salary Health insurance Retirement plan Paid time off Professional development opportunities If this is of interest, please apply below or email me at jbest@barringtonjames.com #J-18808-Ljbffr
