Job Location: North East England Job Type: Permanent Remuneration : Competitive salary taking into account skills, experience and qualifications We have a fantastic opportunity for a Property Loss Adjuster within our Agriculture and Rural Network team based in the North East of England. At Sedgwick, our Agriculture and Rural Network deals with a wide range of property claims coming from the rural community. Imagine stepping into farmers\’ lives during their toughest moments: From peril related damage to an isolated farmhouse, a hailstorm wrecking crops, a barn fire destroying a barn and farm equipment, livestock lost to disease and a wide range of diverse activities as the rural community reacts and evolves to modern times and ways of working You\’ll be the reassuring presence amidst the chaos, building relationships with customers agricultural agencies and brokers then returning to your desk at Sedgwick or your laptop at home to compile a comprehensive reports, managing claims from cradle to grave in accordance with client requirements. We will consider candidates with no loss adjusting experience but with the right attributes and qualifications. The role may especially appeal to claims handlers currently in office based/desktop roles who wish to expand and develop their skills, experience and career. The skills you will have when you apply: A full UK Driving Licence : It is essential you can travel by car Experience with or knowledge of Insurance Claims Excellent communication skills: You\’ll speak with and write to policyholders, insurers, contractors, and more. You’ll explain complex details clearly and negotiate fair settlements for all. Problem-solving abilities : You should be able to identify and solve problems efficiently as you’ll be dealing with property damage claims often involves complex situations and challenges. Time management : As you’ll be planning your own week you must effectively manage your time, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines. You will be required to handle multiple claims simultaneously. What is helpful, but not vital, in your application: A willingness to pursue professional qualifications through the chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters. Full support is provided.
