International House London is currently seeking experienced and enthusiastic Korean teachers to join our growing Foreign Languages team. The role primarily involves teaching adults on our evening face-to-face courses at our school in Covent Garden. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified and passionate individuals to contribute to our vibrant and multicultural learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality Korean language lessons to adult learners.
- Create engaging and effective lesson materials and activities.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning atmosphere in the classroom.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of courses and maintain consistent teaching standards.
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities.
Essential:
- Native or Proficient Korean speaker
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Initial teaching qualification
- Minimum of 3 years teaching experience to groups
- Bachelor’s degree
- Must have the right to work in the UK and be currently based in the UK
Desirable:
- QTS
- Certificate of Korean Language Teacher
- Bachelor’s Degree in Korean Language Education
- CELTA
- Experience in teaching in-company and one-to-one courses
Working Hours:
This is a part-time position. Most lessons are in the evening from 18.30 – 20.30, once a week. We also have some classes in the afternoons, Friday evenings, and Sunday mornings. We are particularly interested in teachers who are available to teach on Thursday evenings.
