We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Sport & Uniformed Services Lecturer to join our dynamic team. This role involves delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment to learners across a range of courses in Sport and Uniformed Public Services. You will be instrumental in preparing learners for careers in the sports industry, emergency services, armed forces, and other uniformed service professions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons across Sport and Uniformed Services courses.
- Develop and adapt course materials to meet curriculum requirements and learner needs.
- Support and guide learners in their academic and professional development.
- Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance processes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and incorporate real-world insights into teaching.
- Support learners in work placements and extracurricular activities, such as outdoor activities or sporting events.
- Collaborate with colleagues and industry partners and stakeholders to enhance learning opportunities.
Essential Criteria:
- A relevant degree in Sport, Public Services, or a related field.
- Teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent) or willingness to obtain one.
- Industry experience in sport, uniformed services, or a related sector.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Passion for education and learner success.
- Ability to inspire and motivate learners.
- Knowledge of current industry trends and requirements.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience in delivering BTEC, NCFE, or similar qualifications.
- Experience working in Further or Higher Education.
- Coaching or leadership qualifications.
