Excited to be recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Engineering Team Lead to join a growing organisation delivering cutting-edge engineered solutions for complex handling systems. This senior leadership role will involve full lifecycle ownership across multiple product lines, driving innovation, quality, and sustainability. You’ll oversee a multi-site team and play a key part in project delivery, design leadership, and technical governance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a high-performing mechanical engineering team (UK & EU).
- Ensure high-quality delivery of engineering scope across design, support, R&D, and sales.
- Manage team resourcing, budgets, and technical output.
- Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration across stakeholders.
- Provide technical oversight, guidance, and mentoring.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong mechanical engineering background (10+ years) and leadership experience (5+ years).
- Degree qualified, ideally Chartered.
- Experience in Marine, Naval or Subsea engineering highly desirable.
- Excellent project and team management skills.
- Proficiency with 2D/3D tools and experience working in regulated environments.
- Must be eligible for UK SC Clearance.
Location: Newcastle 3 days onsite, hybrid flexibility offered.
