Job Title: Head of Monitoring, Digital Resilience Reporting to: Partner, Digital Resilience Job Purpose: This Media Monitoring and Counter-disinformation Lead role sits within the recently established Schillings Digital Resilience team. The team works with a broad client base alongside our legal, communications and intelligence teams, helping clients and partners to identify, monitor and manage risks to their reputation, privacy or security. The successful candidate will drive the growth of Schillings’ counter-disinformation and media monitoring offering. You will work with colleagues in Digital Resilience to implement the tools we use, creating best in class products and processes to deliver media monitoring and digital communications services for our clients and identifying skills, expertise and technology required to grow the firm’s media monitoring and counter-disinformation capabilities. The role will focus on service development and providing intelligence to our clients through monitoring, listening and reporting alongside the development of content strategies that increase our client’s resilience online. Focusing on social listening and monitoring you will work with colleagues to provide expert analysis, actionable insights and robust resilience strategies that help protect and enhance our clients’ reputations and meet clients’ objectives. Working with colleagues in Intelligence & Investigations you will develop and deploy technology and tools to counter disinformation, protect clients and shine a spotlight on the true narrative. This is a new role, and you will have genuine opportunities to develop and progress rapidly in an exciting growth area for the Firm. This role requires someone innovative, commercial and passionate about delivering excellence for clients, recognising that high stakes situations don’t fit neatly in the 9-5 and willing to flex to meet client need. Role Accountabilities: Leading Schillings’ monitoring team, focusing on building digital resilience through early threat identification across platforms. Helping clients and colleagues understand and implement digital resilience strategies. Providing expert advice to our clients on digital resilience strategies across social platforms. Working with the Director to design Schillings’ go-to market monitoring strategy. Building and growing a small team of monitoring professionals and AI systems. Visualising and presenting data creatively to inform resilience strategies for clients and internal stakeholders. Utilising AI to collect and interpret data from various social media platforms, tools, and sources to inform clients and stakeholders. Producing high-quality, time-sensitive reports and presentations at the cadence expected by clients and stakeholders. Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required: A self-starter with a desire to build a market leading service line within a highly success orientated business. An enthusiasm for collaborating with colleagues across the firm and different teams. A keen interest and experience in digital resilience and communications i.e., digital marketing, strategic communications, social listening, digital forensics and analysis. A minimum of 8+ years’ experience working in a similar fast-paced, commercial, consulting environment is essential. A track record of providing qualitative and quantitative content and channel analysis as well as client ready digital reports and audits. Proven ability to identify cutting-edge tools and software to establish and maintain the highest industry standards. Familiar with social monitoring and listening tools (such as: Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Talkwalker, SEMRush, SimilarWeb, Sprout Social, Pulsar, ChatGPT, Gemini, or Brandwatch), with a proven ability to create and present reports and dashboards that communicate your findings clearly and convincingly. A high proficiency in using social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Tik Tok, Instagram, Reddit and LinkedIn. Exceptional client management skills with a proven track record of managing senior executives and those with little knowledge or experience of social media. Proven ability to build client relationships and trust. Exceptional written and verbal communication. Resilient approach to tight deadlines and ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines at pace. Familiarity with highly successful individuals and businesses navigating high stakes situations beneficial.
