Summary
Regis College is actively seeking a Clinical Placement Coordinator and core faculty member for its Graduate Counseling Programs. Graduate Counseling is a growing and robust department that offers a Master of Arts in Counseling and a Master of Arts in Mental Health Research and Leadership. It is housed within the School of Health Sciences on the Weston, Massachusetts campus. The Clinical Placement Coordinator will be responsible for establishing clinical placement agreements, assisting students with clinical placements, acting as the faculty supervisor, and communicating with each clinical site on a regular basis. The position also includes teaching courses within the graduate counseling curriculum based on the needs of the program and the individual’s areas of expertise.
This is an on-campus, full-time position, and qualified applicants must possess a doctoral degree in Counseling, Counseling Psychology, Counselor Education, or a related discipline from a regionally accredited program. Additionally, the individual must be licensed as a Massachusetts mental health counselor with three years of full-time or equivalent part-time post-licensure clinical mental health counseling experience. Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong commitment to the Graduate Counseling Programs mission statement and passion for working with diverse populations in a variety of settings. While this is a generalist program, candidates with the expertise to teach a graduate-level clinical assessment course are strongly encouraged to apply.
Essential Functions
- Develop and implement strategies to assess student readiness for clinical placement, support and advise students throughout the clinical placement process, and manage clinical site relationships.
- Engage in instructional activities appropriate to graduate counseling courses as assigned.
- Teach, organize, and coordinate assigned courses within the discipline including curriculum maintenance, innovation of content, curriculum assessment, and documentation.
- Contribute to curriculum development, assessment, and annual reporting processes
- Assign grades and provide relevant, substantive, and value-added feedback in a timely manner (as described in the Faculty Handbook) through appropriate instructional systems.
- Confer with students on course materials as needed and provide academic accommodations for students with documented disabilities.
- Respond to student email inquiries in a timely manner utilizing official university email account.
- Demonstrate proficiency in use of instructional technology
- Engage in scholarly/service activities appropriate to the discipline
- On-campus presence necessary to enhance student interaction and promote the graduate counseling programs
- Participate in regular meetings and faculty development opportunities.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the Program Director.

- Doctorate in Counseling, Counseling Psychology, Counselor Education, or a related field
- Licensed as a Massachusetts mental health counselor with three years of full-time or equivalent part-time post-licensure clinical mental health counseling experience.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands
