We are looking for a methodical, detail-driven individual to join the technical planning team at Cityscape Digital. This role is central to our planning and feasibility work, and focuses on the accurate production of planning images used to support major development proposals in London. This is a technical 3D role, not a creative or artistic one. The work involves camera matching (aligning 3D models precisely to photographs using survey data), creating wireline views (Accurate Visual Representations or AVRs), and producing supporting documents for planning submissions. These outputs must follow strict procedures and conform to planning standards such as the London View Management Framework (LVMF).
You will receive full training in our workflow and visual standards, but you must already be comfortable working with 3D software and show a strong interest in buildings, architecture, and the urban environment.

Required Experience
It is desirable that the candidate has experience working in the London planning industry. Minimum experience: Graduate, intern or 1-2 years experience in one or more of the following fields: planning, architectural, architectural visualisation, digital or technical illustration.
- Good knowledge of 3DSMax is desired; Proficiency in Photoshop
- Familiarity with other 3D or CAD software (e.g., Rhino, Revit, AutoCad)
- Interest in architecture and development in London
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good time management skills
Roles and Responsibilities
Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Camera matching for verified and non-verified views — aligning 3D models to real-world photography with high accuracy using survey and OS coordinate data
- Creating wireline (AVR1) and massing views in line with LVMF and other planning standards
- Working with CAD files and architectural drawings to create and geolocate base models
- Producing technical documents to accompany planning submissions
- Preparing feasibility visuals and massing studies for early-stage projects
- Collaborating with the Head of Planning and wider team to deliver accurate outputs to client deadlines
- Adhering to the company filing system and PSD structure
- Basic and detailed 3D modelling from architecture drawings and reference information

- Ability to produce advanced analysis material within our standards, under the guidance of the Lead Analyst
- Producing documents in support of the team's work for internal or external use
- Viewing Corridor Analysis and Views Assessment Locations knowledge from the LVMF handbook
