MJM Industrial are currently looking for a Mechanical Field Service Technician to join our team, responsible for maintaining, servicing, and installing Passenger Boarding Bridges and related equipment at various airport locations. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical skills, with experience in 3-phase motors, switchgear, 24VDC PLC controls, roller bearings, chains and sprockets, and hydraulics. We seek a proactive individual with a 'can-do' attitude, comfortable working day and night shifts, and adaptable to all weather conditions.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to receive on-going training and development opportunities.
Daily tasks:
- Once fully trained, the Field Service Technician will be added to the Standby/Call-Out Rota (details will be discussed during the interview). A company vehicle will be provided for the on-call period.
- The Field Service Technician is expected to adhere to the highest health and safety standards, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
- In this role, you will carry out planned repairs and maintenance on equipment, with callouts assigned directly to you by our call centre or the support team.
- You will be responsible for inspecting Passenger Boarding Bridges and addressing any faults identified during the inspections.
- Providing support to both customers and colleagues will be a key part of your duties.
- You will be required to complete clear and accurate Job Sheets for the administrators to process.
- Occasionally, there may be assignments that require overnight stays at airports across the UK, Ireland, and occasionally overseas. All associated travel expenses (e.g., food, accommodation, tickets) will be covered by the company.
