Overview
A well established firm of Chartered Accountants in Tunbridge Wells is creating a new position for a part-qualified accountant to join the team in a newly created role. By demonstrating your capability, progression to Account Manager could come quickly!
Duties
- Preparing year-end accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
- Drafting corporation tax computations and returns
- Preparing management accounts, often with commentary and analysis
- Assisting with VAT returns and dealing with VAT queries from clients
- Reviewing work prepared by junior team members and providing feedback
- Supporting clients with bookkeeping queries, using cloud software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks)
- Identifying opportunities to add value for clients (e.g. advisory, software training)
- Keeping up to date with relevant changes in tax and accounting regulations
- Working closely with managers and partners to support client delivery and deadlines
Salary is flexible depending on experience + bonus + benefits. Higher salaries can be discussed.
A successful candidate for this role will have some local UK practice experience.
