Hybrid

£55-70k plus excellent benefits

We are partnering with a global design consultancy who are looking for a Creative Head to play a key role within their global in-house creative agency. Working closely with their 85 strong creative team across a wide array of internal and external clients, you will guide and engage clients on briefs, pulling together talented creatives to help deliver your creative vision and being involved with helping to manage their Senior Creatives and ensuring processes and creative operations run smoothly. This role is working as part of their leadership team within this internal agency that consists of brand designers, UI/UX, motion, development, 3D and Immersive tech teams. Based from their Birmingham or Bristol offices 2 days per week/3 days remote.

About the company

Our client is a global design consultancy, offering creative design and innovation services to internal and external clients on a national and global level. They work with high profile organisations in the transport, defence, energy, and engineering sectors and work collaboratively in helping their clients achieve their ambitions.

At the heart of the business sits their thriving in-house creative agency team, a highly talented and multidisciplinary team of 85 people across the UK and globally, providing expertise in graphic design, UX, UI design, digital development, 3D visualisation, motion, and immersive media. They provide a positive and progressive working culture with the opportunity to make a big impact, broaden your skills and build your own client relationships. They celebrate difference and understand how diversity benefits their team and work, and therefore actively encourage acceptance of differences within individuals, and are committed to equal employment opportunities.

About the role

As Creative Head, you will be proactive in bringing ideas on how projects and the overall business can run more effectively, challenging creativity, processes and strategies and overall improving the quality and delivery of projects.

You will have tremendous scope for creativity and adding greater value to the growing number of high-profile national and global accounts within the agency team. You will lead a wide variety of multi-disciplined design projects within architecture, engineering, and infrastructure. You will bring out the best in your colleagues through the design process by offering mentorship and design direction.

You will be overseeing and working with some of their global creative teams, looking at the work that they create and adhere to their high creative standards and upskilling where there are gaps and thinking strategically if there can be ways of creating better processes and collaboration between teams.

When working with clients and taking a brief, you will be able to expand the brief and explain to the client about the various possible creative solutions that could deliver against their brief, challenging the clients’ thinking and working alongside digital teams to deliver innovative multi-discipline solutions.

You may be leading the creative on an event, supporting the definition of a new customer experience, or having design input into a multi-discipline project from a branding perspective. The role also involves quoting and scoping of the project and brief, working alongside account managers and project managers to aid the successful delivery of the projects.

They are rightly proud of the creative work that they create and as such are looking to enter awards this year, so you will be an instrumental part of how they enter the awards and engage the team to be involved too.

About you

You are solutions focussed and are commercially savvy, understanding how you can add value to projects and grow relationships with clients, being proactive and thinking strategically about how projects can be taken to the next level, turning a good project into something brilliant that you can be proud of.

You have a portfolio that demonstrates your talent and passion for multi-disciplinary design and ability to art direct an idea. This role is both strategic and hands on creatively across concepts and design, so you will need to have good design skills and have a real passion for branding, typography and layout, which is evidenced in your portfolio.

You have worked in a leadership capacity, ideally leading multi-disciplinary teams and it would be beneficial if those teams are located across multiple sites and you have experience of leading and managing teams and overseeing the outputs creatively and have been involved with creating processes and operations that ensure the consistency of creative output, regardless of where the teams are based.

You consider yourself an innovator and problem solver and enjoy being empowered to challenge the brief and go over and above with your thinking. You communicate clearly and persuasively to clients and can engage with colleagues effectively at all levels.

You are calm under pressure and enjoy working on multiple projects concurrently.

You have led a team of creatives and enjoy inspiring a team and getting the best out of them, leading by example.

You enjoy pitching for new work and can present confidently to clients, with a real focus on storytelling.
