DevOps Engineer

CMK Resources is seeking an experienced DevOps/Kubernetes Engineer to support a long-term project focused on delivering a comprehensive Portworx solution. This role will be part of a core engineering team, contributing to the design, deployment, and operational readiness of container storage and data services in a lab environment.

Location: Hybrid – 2–3 days per week onsite at a technology center in Radbroke, Knutsford (WA16 9EU)

Contract Duration: 12 Months

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with a Portworx Solution Architect to install, build, and test Portworx Enterprise, Backup, and DR solutions
• Develop and maintain runbooks and automation scripts to support day 1 and day 2 operations
• Conduct knowledge transfer sessions with internal engineering teams
• Apply your Kubernetes expertise to ensure stability, scalability, and performance across various environments

Required Skills & Experience:

• Familiarity with Portworx solutions (Enterprise, Backup, DR) or similar products
• Strong hands-on experience as a Kubernetes Engineer in enterprise environments
• Experience with one or more Kubernetes distributions:
• OpenShift Container Platform (OCP)
• Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Bash, Python, Ansible, Terraform)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Nice to Have:

• Previous experience working in lab environments or engineering test environments
• Experience delivering knowledge transfer or operational enablement sessions
