Mechanical Design Application Engineer

Role Overview: We’re seeking a Design Application Engineer to support project design and technical applications for refrigeration and HVAC systems. This role involves working closely with clients, sales teams, and project managers to create effective, cost-efficient system designs. Key Responsibilities: Design HVAC & refrigeration systems based on project specifications Create technical drawings, schematics & layouts using CAD software Support sales & project teams with technical advice and feasibility studies Liaise with suppliers & subcontractors for equipment selection & pricing Ensure designs comply with industry standards & regulations Provide technical support during project installation & commissioning Qualifications & Experience: Degree/HND in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or similar 3+ years’ experience in HVAC or refrigeration design Proficiency in CAD software & system selection tools Strong knowledge of refrigeration principles, heat loads & energy efficiency Ability to interpret technical drawings & specifications Excellent problem-solving & communication skills Competitive salary up to £50k per annum.
