The role involves contributing to research aligned with the university\’s vision of leadership and societal impact, focusing on biomolecular archaeology, bio-geochemistry, and geoarchaeology. The successful candidate will join a well-funded team with state-of-the-art facilities in geochronology, bio-geochemistry, Micro CT, and materials analysis, offering opportunities to develop a research profile and enhance student training. Responsibilities include delivering undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in archaeology and palaeoecology, developing new modules, supervising postgraduate research, and contributing to curriculum development and student employability initiatives. The role may also involve postgraduate teaching across various programs. About the person: The ideal candidate should demonstrate: A PhD in archaeology or a related discipline relevant to archaeological science. Research experience in archaeological science, including biomolecular archaeology, bio-geochemistry, or geoarchaeology. Experience in teaching archaeology at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels in English. Published work in peer-reviewed archaeology or archaeological science journals. A track record of independent or team research with significant outputs. Experience in securing research funding from relevant bodies. Plans for future research and funding applications.
