Purpose

The Senior Technician is responsible for performing routine analyses to ensure project completion aligns with customer contracts. This includes chemical analysis and reporting according to quality standards, focusing on wet chemistry techniques in a GMP environment.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Provide high-quality customer service through effective workload organization, data integrity, and timely results.
2. Perform routine analyses using wet chemistry techniques under supervision.
3. Follow study protocols or pharmacopoeia for analytical work.
4. Operate basic lab equipment as directed.
5. Utilize software such as LIMS and Q-Pulse proficiently.
6. Train team members in routine activities and methods.
7. Handle lab administration and housekeeping duties.
8. Work across different laboratories as needed.

• Collaborate effectively within an analytical team.

QEHS

• Adhere to safety and quality standards, including COSHH, risk assessments, and SOPs.
• Complete quality actions promptly.
• Assist in documenting SOPs, risk assessments, and COSHH.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Comply with GMP and UKAS requirements.
• Keep training records accurate.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and Language Requirements

• Degree/HNC in a relevant scientific discipline or equivalent experience.
• Understanding of lab equipment and wet chemistry techniques, including HPLC.
• Experience in regulated environments.
• Effective communication skills in English.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and quick learner.
