CASUAL BEAUTY THERAPIST

Chuan Body + Soul at The Langham, London is currently looking to recruit a Casual Beauty Therapist.Chuan Body + Soul been designed to create an ambience of tranquillity for both contemplation and inspiration. In Chinese culture, flowing water is seen to be the source of life and balance; a key to keeping mind, body and soul in check. In Chinese, the word Chuan means a serene course of water and the Chuan Body + Soul facilities are modelled to reflect this harmony by using the principles of Feng Shui.

As a Casual Beauty Therapist, your main duties and responsibilities will be to –

extend a welcoming experience for our clients

be fully aware of treatment menus and product knowledge

assess guest needs via consultation prior to treatment

adhere to the operating procedures of Chuan Body + Soul

promote spa and body care products

ensure all treatment rooms are set up according to standards prior to the treatment

maintain clear lines of communication within the Spa and hotel in general

The ideal Casual Beauty Therapist will have –

experience in a similar position and environment with a firm understanding of excellence in customer service

Spa/Beauty qualification at NVQ Level 2 or equivalent (a professional background in beauty therapy and a Spa/Beauty qualification in CIDESCO/CIBTAC/ITEC is desirable)

certification in beauty/massage therapy (Swedish massage is essential)

Ideally knowledge of products including Kerstin Florian, Jacqueline Piotaz, Jessica

excellent communication and interpersonal skills and is well-presented

warm and caring attitude towards the health and well-being of clients

the drive to work towards targets in treatment and retail

the ability to work well in a team

good time management skills

This is a one year maternity cover role.
