Location: Leeds, hybrid 3 days onsite

Rate: up to £506 p/d Umbrella inside IR35

Key Skills/requirements

  • At least 1-3 years experience with these skills:
  • Cisco DNA experience, automation product experience for SD access to ensure automation in the network.
  • ISE – Particularly Identity experience needed, as well as Firepower, management centre Cisco, firewall, IPSACI experience.
  • Catalyst centre experience.
  • Solar winds experience, to build out the environment.

This project will be delivered by the network teams within Infrastructure Services, under the direction of the Infrastructure Operations Leadership Team. Implementation will be managed through the client’s formal Change Approval Board (CAB) processes, ensuring robust oversight and alignment with technical governance requirements.

The selected hardware is provided by CISCO, and resources provided to support this requirement should be a market leader in this domain, comparable to Microsoft in its industry standing. Additionally, Client’s infrastructure teams are CISCO-certified, further enhancing the confidence in seamless deployment and operational continuity.

Legacy hardware is CISCO, meaning a like for like swap out of units including:

  • Cisco Nexus switches (9000 series, various models) – toughen, tighten and protect the network – multispeed devices with integral analytics.
  • Cisco catalyst edge platform devices (8500, 9500) support software defined WANs supporting secure cloud connectivity.
  • Cisco WAN routing – all CISCO edge platforms have mandatory SD-WAN and routing subscriptions which cover device functionality supporting device routing.
  • Cisco QSFP+ transceiver module - high density 40GB ethernet connectivity options for data centres.
  • Additional memory & storage – integral to units and required to support network traffic and flexible storage solutions.
  • Additional licensing (switches & devices) – required for device operation, secure connectivity, end-to-end visibility, analytics, and assurance.

Data centre network upgrade. Support the delivery of new hardware will be delivered directly to data centres for asset tagging and storage, ready for deployment. Support installations and ensure aligned with asset expiry schedules, ensuring upgrades are executed in a timely and efficient manner.
