A Tier 1 contractor based in South East London is seeking an experienced bidding professional to work as part of a small busy team, taking individual responsibility for tasks in a supportive environment. This position aims to expand the department.

The role primarily involves coordinating with other departments in the business to draw together inputs to create bespoke prequalification and tender documents within our customers’ fixed deadlines. This involves creating new written and graphic content, integrating material from our knowledge database.

Working on multiple submissions, often at pace, the role requires attention to detail, with an eye for quality to support this important work winning activity.

Primary tasks include:

  • Completing Pre-Qualification Questionnaires
  • Developing Tender Submissions
  • Creating supplementary tendering documents, such as interview presentations
  • Managing information flow via tendering portals
  • Maintaining and expanding our knowledge database i.e. InDesign templates, boilerplate responses, bid evidence, case studies, CVs etc.

They are looking for a team player - someone who can use their initiative to undertake the multitude of tasks that support marketing and work winning activities. These include:

  • Supporting website and social media activity i.e. creating content
  • Producing marketing information e.g. brochures etc.
  • Arranging photos of sites as required
  • Arranging photos of staff
  • Managing project information within our CRM system
  • Liaising with clients / business development regarding future work enquiries

The ideal candidate must be comfortable using a range of IT systems - many tenders are now managed and submitted through online portals and the role includes keeping our team up to date with amendments and clarifications that are regularly issued during the prequalification and tender processes. Knowledge of the following systems are essential:

  • InDesign
  • Adobe Acrobat
  • Word
  • Excel
  • Outlook
  • Photoshop (desirable, not essential)
