My client is looking for an experienced business developer/sales consultant to be responsible for driving payment acceptance growth through a direct to merchant sales approach in key verticals within the UK (transport, hotels, retail, airlines, restaurants). The role involves building and maintaining a robust pipeline of new sales opportunities, engaging with merchants to drive client acceptance take-up, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure the sales cycle is completed and delivering key KPIs in acceptance.
Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management. Candidates should have previous experience of selling payment solutions to merchants, ideally coming from a card payments background.
The role is for 12 months. Hybrid (mostly remote - option to go permanent for the right candidate if good after proving themselves).
