Band 4 Biomedical Science – Locum Associate Practitioner – Histology – Cornwall Position: Biomedical Science – Histology Banding: 4 Location: Cornwall Hours: 08:30 am – 17:00 pm Duration: September 2024 – January 2025 Rate: £18.00 – £22.00 per hour The Biomedical Science team at Pulse is currently recruiting a Band 4 Biomedical Scientist in Histology to work in a busy hospital in Cornwall. We are looking for a biomedical scientist who can make a real difference in supporting the laboratory’s cellular histology service. What will you be doing in this Biomedical Scientist role? As a Biomedical Scientist in Histology, you will be expected to be proficient in microtomy, able to cut over 35 to 40 blocks an hour to a high standard, alongside having experience in embedding and staining. On a day-to-day basis, you will support the senior biomedical scientists in the delivery of the service and provide guidance to junior members of staff. Essential Requirements for this Biomedical Scientist position: • UK NHS or private sector histology laboratory experience • Relevant qualification in Biomedical Science (e.g., BSc in Biomedical Science or equivalent) • Microtomy experience Why work with Pulse?
