About the role
Join Balfour Beatty, as we embark on a major upgrade to a Rolls-Royce facility in Derby, this a major project supporting the UK Government's industrial and defence capabilities. This is a unique opportunity for a proven Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex, high-value construction in a secure, highly regulated environment. Joining our Major Projects team where you will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage client and stakeholder relationships, and ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
What you'll be doing
- Lead the overall project delivery strategy and execution from initiation through to completion
- Manage the relationship with Rolls-Royce and other key government and industrial stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and security protocols
- Oversee project planning, resourcing, risk management, cost control, and progress reporting
- Lead a team of project managers, engineers, planners, and commercial professionals
- Champion safety, quality, and sustainability throughout the project lifecycle.
Who we're looking for
You will have the following:
- Proven Project Management experience delivering major complex infrastructure or industrial projects, preferably in secure or regulated sectors
- Exceptional stakeholder management and leadership skills
- A degree in construction, engineering, or a related field; chartered status desirable (MCIOB, MAPM, or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of NEC contracts and project governance framework
- Eligible for UK security clearance.
