We are looking to recruit to Northwich, Winsford, Frodsham and rural areas. In Cheshire West and Chester adult social care, our mission is to inspire hope and provide unparalleled support for the people and communities of Cheshire, helping them to enjoy life to the fullest. The service is based at the portal in Ellesmere Port; however, we deliver care and support throughout the borough in people's homes.

What you’ll be doing:

Being a Reablement Worker means supporting people in their own homes for a short space of time to assist them to reach their full potential. This may include managing a variety of aspects of daily living skills, setting clear and achievable goals to help people rebuild their former independence and confidence to sustain independent living at home and in their communities.

We are looking to recruit individuals who truly care and are committed to making a difference in an individual’s life. We cover a 7-day-a-week service; therefore, any successful candidate would be expected to work alternate weekends and bank holidays. Enhanced rates are paid for Bank Holidays, Evening and Weekend working. A 30-hour permanent position is available. Shift patterns are: 7am - 1pm, 8am - 2pm, 4pm - 10pm.

As a provider service for adult social care, we have a number of Reablement Worker opportunities within the borough, working for the local government who truly values their staff to improve the lives of our service users. Travel is needed as part of this role; please demonstrate on your application form how you would meet this requirement.

Being a Reablement Support Worker means supporting people in their own homes for a short space of time to assist them to reach their full potential. This may include:

  • Managing a variety of aspects of daily living skills including personal and intimate care supporting service users to become independent in their home
  • Setting clear and achievable goals to help people rebuild their former independence
  • Building confidence to sustain independent living at home and in their communities
  • Medication management
  • Supporting meal preparations

This role is community-based; a driving licence is essential for this role. Previous experience in a care setting is not essential as full training is provided throughout your career. Please note all offers of employment are subject to the satisfactory completion of a DBS check and references.
