Role Purpose: To support and enhance the provision of psychologically-informed care of clients within Vias Greenwich service, particularly for those experiencing homelessness, criminality, and disaffection. To work directly with individuals and groups seeking support for substance use, providing flexible psychological assessments, reports, and interventions under supervision of a registered psychologist, adhering to Vias policies and procedures. To assist with administration, audit, research, service development, teaching, and other projects. Key Duties and Activities: Support the team in applying psychological principles using theory, evidence-based literature, and research to benefit all clients. Provide psychological assessments through interviews, psychometric tests, and other methods; assist in formulating and delivering care plans with supervision. Collaborate with partner agencies for client care and outreach, delivering flexible psychological interventions to engage service users. Promote community and recovery-based interventions, working with volunteers, peer mentors, and service user representatives. Identify risks and act according to safeguarding policies; facilitate contingency management via the Capital Card scheme. Assist in developing, coordinating, and evaluating group programs. Utilize outcome measures and feedback; contribute to research, audits, and service evaluations, including data collection and report writing. Conduct literature searches, summarise research papers, and maintain databases to support evidence-based practice. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, contributing to service and policy development, and understanding operational issues. Support training initiatives and maintain awareness of local resources and self-help materials. Manage the emotional demands of working with clients with complex needs, including challenging and forensic behaviours. Record, monitor, and report clinical work in compliance with policies; communicate assessments, treatment plans, and progress sensitively and effectively.
