Job Title: Water Hygiene Engineer Location: North East Salary: Starting from £28,000 per annum (DOE) + Benefits Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and proactive Water Hygiene Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for specialist hygiene services, primarily focusing on the inspection, sampling, cleaning & disinfection and maintenance of water systems to control Legionella bacteria risks in line with current legislation and industry standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking to take the next step in their career. Key Responsibilities: · Perform temperature monitoring of water systems, water sampling and system inspections · Carry out the cleaning, disinfection and descaling of water systems · Installation, servicing and replacement of TMV’s & TMT’s · Prepare detailed and accurate service reports, including recommendations for corrective actions · Use specialist equipment and chemical dosing systems safely and effectively Essential Skills & Experience: · Previous experience working in water hygiene, Legionella control, or a similar role. · Strong knowledge of ACOP L8 and HSG274 guidelines. · Ideally based in and around Newcastle-upon-Tyne · Proficient in water sampling and temperature monitoring. · Ability to plan and manage your own workload efficiently. · Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with clients. · Full UK driving licence.
