This role is based within our Utility Solutions Practice, which provides utility-based products and services to a wide range of clients. Utility Solutions requires a Mapping Coordinator to support with the delivery of digital map-based solutions to our varied client base. Working to a high level of accuracy, the role focuses on the digitisation and georeferencing of raster data for the production of our Utility Search Map product, a composite digital model of utility assets. The role also entails the quality checking of outputs of other members of the team.
Essential Criteria
- Experience using computer aided design software and GIS Mapping systems including AutoCAD and ArcGIS Pro
- Knowledge of GIS methodologies and principles
- Good attention to detail
- Clear, concise communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage projects simultaneously
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to identify, analyse and resolve problems
- Ability to manage time effectively
- A high level of organisation and professionalism
Desirable Criteria
- Experience of working in the utility industry, preferably in a service delivery environment
- Prior experience or knowledge of utilising technology for process efficiencies
- Experience in a client facing role
Responsibilities
- Quality checking of deliverables
- Management of own workloads and raising any challenges to delivering this
- Follow processes closely to digitise utility data accurately
- Processing new orders
- Liaise with other teams/clients/utility companies to resolve issues and build relationships
- Proactively identify opportunities to increase the efficiency & productivity of the team's processes
- Proactively identify opportunities to add value to the product/service we provide to our clients
- To undertake additional ad hoc activities as required
- Supporting other teams within our practice as required
