We\’re looking to expand the team at out Thorpe St.Andrew practice in Norwich to add a third vet part-time! This is a permanent, part-time role working 21 hours per week over two days (Thursday 09:00-19:00 & Friday 08:00-18:00) with1:3 Saturdays (morning at Thorpe and afternoon at the hub practice in Horsford) We\’re open to being flexible where we can so let us know what works for you. Thorpe St. Andrew is a lovely, recently refurbished, branch partner led practice with a team of two vets supported by a head nurse, two RVNs, two student nurses and two patient care assistants. They see a general medical/basic surgical caseload and have a lovely, friendly client base. Gerhard, the branch partner has been with Medivet for 20 years (all of those at the same practice!) and has recently become a vet GDP advisor. In this role you will: Deliver exceptional clinical care to your patients during consultations and procedures. Provide exceptional care to your clients, giving clear updates on patients. Prepare tailored, accurate treatment and care plans for each patient with clear cost estimates. Engage, mentor and develop your team, enhancing their skills and utilising these in the most effective way. Complete clinical handover and arrange transfer of any patient needing out of hours or enhanced care. Pro-actively support and share clinical best practice within and across practices and the wider Medivet community. Your Skills and Experience: RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon. Experienced in delivering exceptional care to both patients and clients. Experienced in working effectively as part of a team. Able to demonstrate clinical leadership skills. Experience of implementing a progressive clinical culture. Experience of supporting nurse consults and schedule 3 procedures, with an understanding of how this contributes to clinic performance and efficiency. Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
