Bruin City Of London, England, United Kingdom VP Manager | Accounting & Internal Audit Recruitment Role Scope: We are seeking an experienced Tax professional to join the Finance team of a fast-growing and international Financial service business. This newly created role will play an integral part in managing tax activities and shaping the tax strategy within a dynamic and evolving organisation. Furthermore, as the UK representative, this will involve planning strategy with other stakeholders in the UK and globally. Skillset we\’re looking for: 3–5+ years PQE tax experience, ideally gained at a Big 4 firm and/or within a large multinational corporation. Proven experience in business partnering on strategic tax matters such as transfer pricing or transactions. Strong governance and risk management knowledge related to tax. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines while managing stakeholder expectations. Excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to work effectively within a multinational team and across diverse business cultures. Exceptional IT skills, particularly in Excel and accounting/tax systems. Solid understanding of FRS102 and IFRS tax reporting standards. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with both internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities: Taxation: Perform all tax compliance activities (across all taxes: Corporate Tax, VAT, Personal Income Tax) relevant to the business and coordinate with tax advisors and subsidiaries for local compliance. Handle both group and local statutory tax reporting activities, including the calculation of current and deferred taxes, Pillar 2 reporting, CbCR, and more. Oversee tax governance, including SAO, Tax Strategy, and ongoing testing of the company’s controls to ensure compliance with J-SOX tax controls. Provide technical tax advice to the business and other corporate functions as needed. Build strong collaborative relationships with relevant group tax functions. Manage external communications with tax authorities, tax advisors, auditors, and other tax policy decision-makers. Support HR in addressing employment tax-related queries. Advise senior management on strategic tax matters. Occasionally provide backup for the Accounting function as required.
