We have a requirement for an experienced Principal/Lead Mechanical Engineer to support the nexos team on a contract basis until August 2025. This is a fulltime, outside IR35 role.
Responsibilities:
- Provide mechanical expertise for tenders and proposals.
- Support and develop project engineering team.
- Drive efficiency and continuous improvement in systems and processes.
- Ensure work is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
- Manage project scopes, schedules, and change control processes.
- Liaise with clients, attend meetings, and maintain clear communication.
- Review, approve, and oversee mechanical designs and outputs.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Strong Oil & Gas industry experience.
- UK degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) and member of a recognised engineering institute.
- Expert knowledge of industry codes, standards, and practices.
- Proven leadership in managing small/medium-sized project teams.
- Technical, commercial, and contractual proficiency.
