We are looking for a Training Solutions Specialist to join us here at Southern Water! The Training Solutions Specialist is responsible for building operational training programmes that are targeted at improving the required skills and capabilities of Wastewater operational teams to do their job effectively. They will liaise with internal and external subject matter experts and training providers to ensure that training solutions are developed that meet the regulatory needs and industry standards for the Wastewater Operations Function. The role is vital in ensuring external training providers deliver solutions to the required time, cost, and quality expectations. They will own the relationship between the Wastewater operations function and external training delivery providers to ensure training solutions are aligned to operational goals. The role requires an approachable person and effective communicators who can co-ordinate across multiple internal and external stakeholders.
Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Identifying and scoping training solutions
- Developing and managing external training delivery programmes
- Liaising with external training providers
- Co-ordinating operational teams' completion of training
An understanding of the Water and Wastewater industry is beneficial for this specific role, as well as experience in managing external stakeholders.
