We are an outstanding special school. Our children have severe and complex learning needs. Instead of focusing on national curriculum and assessments, the school is all about supporting the development of each individual child, recognising their specific needs and abilities. Wellbeing and inclusion are at the heart of the school’s work. It is a joyful place where every child is known and valued. In addition to the excellent standards of practice in the school, our Head is striving to share best practice across other schools, particularly in mainstream. Being a school governor is a commitment and a responsibility, but it’s also a rewarding position.
