The job itself We are seeking to recruit a dynamic and motivated part-time Special Guardianship Care Co-ordinator to join the East Riding Fostering Service. This is a varied role within the Recruitment and Assessment team of the Fostering Service, offering an exciting opportunity to become part of a well-regarded fostering service. The role is dynamic and will continue to evolve. The SGO Care Co-ordinator will be responsible for: Completing statutory checks required for Special Guardianship Reports. Supporting the preparation of Special Guardian reports for court and permanence panel presentations. Building close working relationships with family members and foster carers. Preparing for SGOs. Providing support to all carers under SGO arrangements and prospective Special Guardians. Conducting financial assessments for SGO applications and monitoring all financial payments to carers. Collaborating closely with social work teams, legal teams, and the fostering team. Performing other duties that reasonably correspond to the general character of the post and are commensurate with its level of responsibility within the fostering and adoption team.
