As a Commercial Strategy Manager, you will have a direct influence in shaping the future of how we manage our customer base by designing innovative commercial strategies that drive value, retention, and growth across the entire Sky Base (TV, Broadband, and Mobile). The role is multifaceted and requires collaboration across multiple teams. Working within a high-performing team, you will develop the future strategy for our customer base to drive stability and key commercial KPIs. “As a Commercial Strategy Manager, you’ll be critical to the future success of the Base Management team. It’s the perfect role for an individual with strong critical thinking skills, commercial acumen, and excellent stakeholder management” – Lisa Chuter, Head of Base Management, Commercial What you will do Develop and implement strategies to stabilize our customer base, ensuring we are future-ready from an existing-customer perspective for selected products, channels, and key moments in the customer lifecycle. Build and maintain our third-party relationship with Afiniti Inc., a multinational data and software company that uses modeling to determine intelligent pairing between customers and agents, driving incremental benefits to Sky’s profitability based on human behavior. Generate new ideas by becoming an expert on external and internal influences such as regulation, competitor landscape, and Gen AI, to adapt our future strategies. Engage effectively with our Product P&L, Marketing, Customer Experience, Change Delivery, and Analytics teams to collaboratively implement and bring strategies to life. Produce insightful analysis and recommendations for cohorts and trends to reduce churn and costs, increase revenue, and drive product upgrades. Regularly present your work to various audiences, creating clear and engaging presentation packs that facilitate stakeholder engagement. What you’ll bring You’ll be a strategic thinker capable of simplifying complex ideas into forward-looking, customer-centric plans. You’ll excel at translating customer insights into strong commercial strategies that generate momentum and business performance. You’ll be highly commercially aware and numerate, able to size opportunities and influence stakeholders to focus on priorities. You’ll possess strong analytical skills and be confident using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint to produce impactful business cases and presentations. You’ll be excellent at collaborating with multiple stakeholders and communicating effectively across all levels of the organization. You’ll be a confident presenter, able to communicate recommendations clearly and bring stakeholders along on the journey. Ideally, you will have previous experience in commercial or strategy roles, base management, customer retention programs, and experience with third-party relations.
