Senior Fund Accountant

London (3 days a week in office)

£85k + 10% Bonus

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Fund Accountant to join a PE backed financial services business.

This role is ideal for someone who is confident, proactive, and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You\’ll play a key role in shaping and maturing a critical function — with real ownership, visibility, and the chance to influence change.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily and monthly fund accounting processes, including GL reconciliations, journal postings, and margin analysis
• Supervise and mentor junior team members
• Manage fee calculations, scheme set-up reviews, and reconciliation of fund manager rebates
• Support the automation of manual processes and enhancements to accounting/reporting systems
• Take ownership of key regulatory and internal reporting, including Solvency II
• Partner with operations, treasury, and product teams to resolve issues and maintain strong financial controls
• Deliver clear, actionable MI and support annual audits

Requirements

• A strong background in fund accounting
• Excellent reconciliation and financial control skills
• Advanced Excel capability
• Strong communicator with a hands-on approach and attention to detail
• Experience managing or mentoring team members
• Accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or similar) is desirable
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams
